Job Title: Insurance Defense Attorney

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Insurance Defense Attorney to join our team in Lexington. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience handling insurance defense matters and will be eager to assume meaningful responsibility in a supportive, fast-paced environment. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with clients and develop litigation skills in a variety of cases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in insurance defense litigation, including personal injury, premises liability, property damage, and other liability claims.

  • Manage all phases of litigation, from initial case assessment through discovery, motions, hearings, and trial.

  • Conduct depositions, prepare witnesses, and draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.

  • Provide strategic advice and risk assessments to clients and insurance carriers.

  • Collaborate with colleagues and clients to achieve efficient and favorable case outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

  • Admission to the Kentucky Bar (or eligibility to waive in).

  • Minimum of 2 years of insurance defense or related civil litigation experience.

  • Strong oral and written advocacy skills.

  • Ability to manage a caseload independently while meeting deadlines.

  • Commitment to client service and professional growth.
